Dr. Jason Faulds

Dr. Faulds is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of British Columbia with special interests in complex thoracic and abdominal aortic surgery, thoracic outlet syndrome and minimally invasive vein treatment.

During his surgical training, Dr. Faulds completed a Master's of Health Science degree in clinical epidemiology and remains active in clinical outcomes research. He sits on the executive committee of the the Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery, and is a member of The Western Vascular Society and the Pacific Northwest Vascular Society. Dr. Faulds is a frequent contributor to national and international research meetings and has published numerous articles in well respected surgical journals.

Following his surgical fellowships in general and vascular surgery at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Faulds pursued further training in complex endovascular aortic surgery under the supervision of Dr. Jason Lee at Stanford University. Mentored by the world renowned cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Hazim Safi at the University of Texas, Dr. Faulds became one of the few vascular surgeons to be trained in thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic surgery.

Dr. Faulds is the father of 4 young children. They enjoy hunting, fishing and spending time with their golden retriever, Hercules.
